Legal English Audit

The two Legal English Audits are diagnostic tests of Legal English in a commercial law context. The tests are set at an intermediate to advanced level covering levels B1‐C1 of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale.

Anyone with a browser and Internet connection can take the LEA.

• is fully online
• is graded automatically, with results reported immediately. 

2. The Legal English Audit

• assesses the full range of communications skills used by legal professionals: reading, listening, writing and speaking
• is based on realistic tasks of the kind legal professionals encounter
• takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes
• is fully online
• is partially graded automatically (reading and listening tests), with results reported immediately
• Is partially graded by TransLegal (writing and speaking tests), with results provided promptly.
