Who is the digital coursebook for?

Introduction to International Legal English (IILE) is an intermediate-level digital coursebook. You do not need any prior knowledge of the law to work with it.

Introduction to International Legal English is suitable for

• Business professionals who work with lawyers or on legal matters.

The legal concepts introduced are those found in the legal systems of the UK and the USA. However, nearly all of them are common to legal systems the world over.

What does the digital coursebook teach?

IILE focuses on the use of English for commercial law. You will learn about a number of important topics, such as real property law, contract law, or company law.  Some subjects commonly taught at law faculties, like comparative law, are also covered.
